Congratulations to Aiken FC’s Co-Director of Coaching Jonathan West on being selected as Charleston Battery’s Hometown Hero Man of the Match, which recognizes retired service members, veterans, active duty and first responders.

Coach West is originally from Kershaw and served eight years in the Air Force supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom during deployment. He started his coaching career at age 19 and has coached teams at every skill level, gender and age group. 

He will be recognized at the May 11th Charleston Battery game against St. Louis FC. Tickets are still available if you are interested in attending the match.
